The Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (HSCBB) is bringing together research scientists (of Hellenic origin or based in Greece) actively involved in the multidisciplinary fields of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. HSCBB aims to promote research, training and education of this cutting-edge discipline at national level, and the participation of the society in international organizations.


Main goals of HSCBB are the study, development and spreading of our discipline in a scientific, academic, technologic and industrial environment.

Computational Biology and Bioinformatics are multidisciplinary research fields at the crossroads of Biology, Computer Science, Statistics and Pure Sciences.


The aim is to develop computational tools and methods for the description of biological systems (such as molecules, cells, organisms), and enable  the answer of difficult biological questions.
